We are thrilled to announce that Ultra X has joined forces with the leading UK charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, in a collaboration that goes beyond elevating our commitment to transformative experiences. It also ignites a spirit of charitable giving within our community, adding an extra layer to the existing Macmillan running portfolio with more extreme charity challenges.

How does the partnership work?

The collaboration between Ultra X and Macmillan Cancer Support will not only raise awareness for a worthy cause but also promote charitable giving among event participants.

As part of this initiative, Ultra X is introducing reduced-price charity bib entries across all events, providing an opportunity for runners to contribute to the Macmillan run events fundraising with the proceeds directed to Macmillan Cancer Support to further their vital work.

Additionally, competitors can make a ‘charitable donation’ during event registration, with the proceeds directly supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and their vital work. This collaboration extends beyond the events themselves, highlighting Ultra X’s commitment to Macmillan Cancer Support in organizing charity fundraising challenges and actively engaging with participants. Further information about Ultra X events can be found here.

Raising Awareness and Fundraising Campaigns

Ultra X is dedicated to raising awareness about the incredible programs and services offered by Macmillan Cancer Support. Our commitment extends further through the organization of targeted fundraising campaigns, aiming to drive impactful contributions from our community in support of cancer patients.

How does running for charity work?

For those opting to run a marathon for charity or any distance ultra marathon offered by Ultra X, we are excited to offer a significant incentive. Register for any Ultra X event at a reduced price, 50% of the standard entry, by committing to raise funds for charity. The Macmillan run commitment levels are as follows:

The following events require a commitment of raising £500:

Spring Trail Series, Ultra X Scotland, Ultra X Wales, Ultra X England

The following events require a commitment of raising £1,000:

Ultra X Azores, Ultra X Morocco, Ultra X Madeira, Ultra X Slovenia, Ultra X Finland

The following events require a commitment of raising £2,500:

Ultra X Jordan, Ultra X Tanzania, Ultra X Nevada, Ultra X World Championships, Ultra X Rwanda

Participants can select “Macmillan Entry” when registering for their event on RaceSpace and they will receive an email from Macmillan shortly after explaining the next steps and how to kickstart their fundraising.

Why should you do this?

At Ultra X, our goal is not only to create life-changing experiences through our events but also to recognize the imperative of supporting those in need. This collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support empowers us to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals affected by cancer.

Join us in this extraordinary journey where endurance meets purpose, and together, we can contribute to changing lives through Macmillan running events and extreme charity challenges.
