This week we caught up with James Barber from the Altitude Centre in London to find out why athletes train at high altitudes, what altitude training is and what the benefits of altitude training are.

In this fascinating video, James explains why it is not just those who are considering taking part in mountain events such as Ultra X Mexico that should consider incorporating altitude training into their schedule (and it’s not just about wearing a high altitude mask!).
