Back in November 2018, Ultra X were approached by the co-founders of TRIBE – Tom, Rob, and Guy – to assist with creating the third instalment of their epic Run For Love series. Creating challenges to push the mind and the body is in our DNA and so we jumped at the chance to do something which would also align with such a brilliant cause – to raise £250,000 for the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. See here for some of the planning which went into the week.

One week on from Run For Love we are re-living the week by video. Here’s the first couple of days, showing the runner’s waves of emotions as they take on the world’s toughest island race.

Having arrived onto the island of São Miguel over the weekend and been briefed on what lay ahead of them, on Monday morning the runners gathered together in the main square of Ponta Delgada before heading off along the coast and onto the trails.

Like what you see? Ultra X 125 Azores takes place on the 25th and 26th April 2020 and we still have some places remaining. Hit the link below if you fancy joining us for an adventure on some of the trails shown above.

Ultra X are also delighted to be working with TRIBE again in 2020 for a one-off event unusually close to home – TRIBE Relay Across Scotland by Ultra X. Pre-register below to make sure you get your spot!
