The Great British Slam!

Can you complete Ultra X Scotland, Wales & England in the same year?

Read more below

Ultra X 110 England by Asics takes place in the Peak District National Park, an upland area characterised by vast green landscapes, rounded hills, plateaus, valleys, limestone gorges, and gritstone escarpments.

Inhabited from the Mesolithic era, the Peak District has a rich history of agriculture, mining, and quarrying, and is now famous for its spectacular scenery, spa towns, caves, and network of footpaths and cycling trails. With a huge variety of remote terrain, challenging climbs, and stunning upland scenery on offer, the Peak District is one of the best trail running locations in the country.

Ultra X 50 England by Asics (50km single-stage race) takes place on the second day (Sunday) of Ultra X 110 England. Both races are held under full UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA (permit numbers 5276 and 5278).

What happens when you register

Once you have registered for a race;

You will be sent an email inviting you to a call with a member of our team. This is by no means mandatory but it will allow you to ask us any questions you may have regarding the event, training, food, equipment and anything else at all.

You will be asked if you would like to be added to the competitor Facebook. Of course you do not have to but they are a great way to get to know your fellow competitors before you reach the start line.

You will be invited to a number of short video calls where we’ll go through kit/equipment, food and pre-event preparation. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you like.

Cut offs

We have very relaxed cut offs. To us, it’s not about what time you get, it’s the adventure you have along the way. On average you will have between 2hrs 30 mins to complete each 10km (in-between checkpoints). Exact race cut-offs can be found in the race information pack.

If you don’t finish

In the scenario that you cannot finish a stage at one of our events, you will be offered entry into the following edition of the race at half price. You will not receive a finishers medal or official result.

What others say

“I’ve had the opportunity to run two of the Ultra X races so far, and the experience was so much more than what I was expecting. Jamie, Sam, Chris and the crew made you feel like you were part of something special. Once again they stepped up their game with Ultra X 125 England. An amazing 125km, two day running event in the Peak District (there’s also a 50km one day option). The race was well organised, and the #ReadyToRace policy was implemented and executed in a professional manner to ensure participant/crew safety. The entire experience was one I will always remember, not just because of the beautiful scenery, but because of the friends I made, and the feeling of being part of this amazing Ultra X community.”

Ian Morgan

“Ultra X 125 England was simply one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done. The emotional roller coaster was real – excitement, pride, confidence, frustration, anger, tears, joy, hunger, nausea, laughter, fear, hope, despair – it all came in waves.”

Anna Davison

UK

“Ultra X 125 England was just what I was looking for. After months without a race, I would probably have been happy running round Luton town centre but to have the opportunity of beautiful scenery and a challenging trail was an absolute winner. The race had a good mix of technical and faster sections. Location of the campsite and route were great. I have raced with Ultra X before so was expecting great logistical and emotional support. I wasn’t disappointed.”

Neil Bradshaw

UK

“The Peak District is probably my favourite place to run in the entire world and to get the opportunity to cover 125km in 2 days with an awesome crowd of Ultra X runners and crew was just what we needed, especially in a year that has seen so many races cancelled! Ultra X did an outstanding job of creating a challenging course that took in some of the finest views in England whilst ensuring we all felt really safe from a Covid-19 perspective both on the course and around the campsite. A massive well done to the Ultra X team – I would 100% recommend this to anyone whether you’re a seasoned ultra runner or newbie, the adventure of exploring the beautiful Peak District is well worth it!”
