spring trail series by ultra x

The Spring Trail Series by Ultra X takes place on the Serpent Trail, a stunning route that weaves through the greensand hills, river, woodland, and lowland heath of the South Downs National Park, a habitat which is rarer than rainforest and home to a variety of rare and endangered species.

The Spring Trail Series offers three race distances: 100km, 50km and half marathon.

As is always the case with Ultra X events, these are far more than just races, they are awesome experiences. At the start/finish there will be an expo selling merchandise, hot drinks, food and much more. You are actively encouraged to stay on after your race and enjoy the festivities, BBQ and bar.

The address for the start/finish is the same for all four race distances: Haslemere Recreation Association (GU27 3AR) or what3words location bleaching.dive.unwantedThe start is a 10 minute walk from Haslemere train station and there is also parking readily available in the town centre.

All races are held under full UK Athletics permit (100km #3891, 50km #3890, half marathon #3889) granted through the TRA.

Experience The South Downs

We understand that competitors may wish to travel to the South Downs with family or friends. Should they wish to enjoy the South Downs National Park while you race, we highly recommend visiting the following sights. Alternatively, you can visit them together after the event.

If one of your party would like to volunteer at the race while you take part, they can complete the Volunteer Application Form and we will do our best to accommodate them.

As part of the ‘Pounds for the Downs’ scheme, Ultra X are donating £1 per participant to the South Downs National Park Trust, which invests in projects that protect and enhance special places like the Serpent Trail. We are also encouraging participants to make a further voluntary donation, which can be added at checkout.
