REGISTRATIONS CLOSING SOON
Ultra X 50 Madeira is a single-stage ultramarathon that takes place in and around Madeira. Madeira is an autonomous Portuguese island and the largest and most populous of the Madeira Archipelago (Porto Santo and the Desertas being the others).
The island is an oasis of green, with incredible natural pools carved out of lava rocks, gorgeous cliffs overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and charming towns. It is located in a region known as Macaronesia, just under 400 kilometres to the north of the Canary Islands and 520 kilometres west of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Taking part in mid November, the climate conditions for the race should be temperate, with lows of around 9°C and highs of 21°C.
Ultra X 50 Madeira takes place on the second day (Sunday) of Ultra X 110 Madeira.

What happens when you register
Once you have registered for a race;
You will be sent an email inviting you to a call with a member of our team. This is by no means mandatory but it will allow you to ask us any questions you may have regarding the event, training, food, equipment and anything else at all.
You will be asked if you would like to be added to the competitor Facebook and Whatsapp groups. Of course you do not have to but they are a great way to get to know your fellow competitors before you reach the start line.
You will be invited to a number of short video calls where we’ll go through kit/equipment, food and pre-event preparation. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you like.
Cut offs
We have very relaxed cut offs. To us, it’s not about what time you get, it’s the adventure you have along the way. You will have between 2hrs 30 mins to and 4 hrs complete each 10km (in-between checkpoints). Exact race cut-offs can be found in the race information pack.
If you don’t finish
In the scenario that you cannot finish a stage at one of our events, you will be offered entry into the following edition of the race at half price. You will not receive a finishers medal or official result.
