Ian Morgan led a conventional life in New Zealand before a number of significant life events, including a heart attack and an earthquake, made him take stock and change direction to the life he leads today.
Now Ian is an Ultra X Ambassador, Hoka, Coros, and SpartanTrail Athlete and spends his life travelling the world taking part in amazing ultra marathons. In 2019, Ian took part in Ultra X Mexico and in 2021, will be lining up at the Ultra X World Championships.
We chatted about what it’s like to live and train as an ultra runner and answered your questions in the interview below.
